KHS Golden Girls Shine at UDA Dance Camp

The Kearney High School Golden Girls had an outstanding weekend at UDA Dance Camp!

The team brought a routine to camp for competition and then spent the weekend learning multiple new routines that were evaluated by UDA staff. Earning a Superior rating is the highest distinction awarded, and the Golden Girls consistently performed at an exceptional level throughout the weekend.

The team's accomplishments included:

  • 1st Place Home Routine
  • Team Full Out Award for Performance Routine
  • Superior Award for Performance Routine
  • 110% Award, voted on by UDA staff
  • Drill Down Superior Team
Seven Golden Girls also auditioned for the prestigious All-American Award by learning a new routine on Friday evening and performing it on Saturday afternoon. Every Kearney dancer who auditioned earned All-American honors:

  • Jacee Hensley
  • Lilyan Kagarice
  • Analeigh Miles
  • Kamryn Slaughter
  • Claire Watson
  • Peyton Williams
Several Golden Girls also received individual recognition:
  • Drill Down Queen: Claire Watson
  • Drill Down 1st Runner Up: Ainsley Daniels
  • Pin It Forward: Myah Kopp and Peyton Williams
  • College Dance Team Combine Scholarship: Analeigh Miles
Congratulations to Head Coach Samantha Anderson, Assistant Coach Rachel Cerra and all of our Golden Girls for representing Kearney High School and Kearney School District with excellence, dedication and Bulldog pride. We can't wait to see what this talented team accomplishes during the upcoming season!
