Kearney Elementary Bulldogs Reunite to Tour Upgrades and Additions
A couple of dozen retired Kearney Elementary teachers and other staff members returned to the school this morning, Aug. 18, for a tour with Principal Mitch Masker of recent upgrades and additions. They started in the new school library on the ground floor, just down the hall from the main entrance, where they caught up with former colleagues and perused old editions of the KE yearbook. Dr. Masker led them around the building, which included rediscovering their beloved classrooms. He showcased new collaborative learning spaces, additional resource rooms and improved playground equipment. All of this work was made possible with the Proposition B zero-tax-rate-increase bond and the decision to improve our current four elementary schools rather than build a fifth.
